"I thought I learned a lot when I studied abroad as a student, but nothing will compare to my Traineeship experience with Linking Lives..."
"Living across the world from family and friends, I became independent, resilient, and learned how to rely on myself. I got to see and experience parts of the world that I never could have imagined and fully immerse in another culture. The people I lived with in Ethiopia truly became my family and some of my best friends that I am still in contact with today.
I learned how to stay calm under high pressure situations. After this experience, I know I can trust my judgment and decision making skills. This made me confident to enter the workforce and start a career because I knew I could handle whatever came my way.
I don’t know of any other experience that can give recent grads the type of real world experience that I was able to gain during this Traineeship. It was the most meaningful and rewarding experience of my life and I am eternally grateful for the life changing opportunities that this program brought me."
